The King's Speech is a historical drama film directed by Tom Hooper and written by David Seidler. Colin Firth portrays the future King George VI, who seeks help from Lionel Logue, an Australian speech and language therapist played by Geoffrey Rush, to manage his stammer. As the two men work together and form a friendship, the King must rely on Logue's support to deliver his first wartime radio broadcast following Britain's declaration of war against Germany in 1939.
